In the surroundings of Casa Adelante, many beautiful day trips are possible. Below you will find a selection of destinations that are within approximately one and a half hours’ drive. In our bodega, an extensive information folder is available with tips, routes and background information.

Seville:
An impressive historic city where culture, atmosphere and gastronomy come together. Visit highlights such as the Real Alcázar, the cathedral with the Giralda, Plaza de España, Parque de María Luisa, Metropol Parasol, Plaza de Toros, and the charming neighbourhoods of Triana and Santa Cruz.









Italica:
Roman ruins with temple remains and an impressive amphitheatre, close to Seville.
Aracena:
A historic town in the province of Huelva, designated as cultural heritage. The main highlight is the impressive Gruta de las Maravillas (Cave of Wonders).
Rio Tinto:
A unique mining region where copper and iron ore have been extracted since Roman times. The river owes its name to its high iron content.



El Rocio:
A unique pilgrimage town with sandy streets, located next to Doñana National Park, one of the largest bird reserves in Europe. During Pentecost, more than one million pilgrims gather here.



Jerez de la Frontera
A historic city, world-famous for its sherry bodegas such as Tío Pepe and Sandeman. Also known for the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art, with its impressive horse shows.


Cadiz:
One of the oldest cities in Europe, located on the Costa de la Luz. Enjoy the Atlantic beaches, the cathedral, Torre Tavira, and the unique combination of culture and sea.



Cordoba
A city rich in history, home to the world-famous Mezquita-Cathedral of Córdoba (UNESCO), the Roman Bridge, and the atmospheric Jewish Quarter.


Carmona
A still relatively undiscovered city with a beautiful historic centre. The old Alcázar has partly been converted into a Parador hotel, offering views over the vast surrounding plains.


Osuna
Known for its elegant Baroque townhouses, 16th- and 18th-century churches, and picturesque streets. Calle San Pedro is listed as a UNESCO site, and the town served as a filming location for Game of Thrones.



Arcos de la Frontera
A spectacular white village, perched high on a cliff, with breathtaking views.

Traditional festivals in Seville
Seville and Andalusia have a rich cultural life, with traditions celebrated throughout the year, including:
Día de Reyes (January) – Three Kings parades (Cabalgata de Reyes)
Día de Andalucía (28 February) – Regional public holiday
Semana Santa (March/April) – Impressive Easter processions
Feria de Abril (April) – Colourful fair with flamenco, music and horses
Fiesta de las Cruces (May) – Flower-covered crosses, music and street celebrations
Feria del Caballo – Jerez (May) – Horse, sherry and flamenco festival
Corpus Christi (May/June) – Ten days after Pentecost, a solemn procession through the city centre, including the traditional “Baile de los Seises” inside the cathedral
Romería de El Rocío (May/June) – Large pilgrimage during Pentecost
San Juan (June) – Midsummer celebration with bonfires
Virgen del Rosario (October) – Religious processions
